Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how like10news ("we", "us") handles information when you visit our website. We try to keep things simple and to collect as little as possible. This is a general template — please review it with a qualified professional before relying on it, especially regarding rules for children (such as COPPA in the US and GDPR-K in the EU/UK).
Who this site is for
like10news publishes news stories written to be easy for children (around 10 years old) to read. We design the site to be family-friendly. We do not ask visitors to create accounts, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Information we collect
- We do not ask you for personal information. There are no sign-ups, logins, comments, or contact forms that store your data.
- Basic technical data. Like most websites, our hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages) may automatically process standard request information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, to deliver the site and keep it secure.
- Privacy-friendly analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not track you across sites or collect personal information. It gives us only aggregate counts (such as page views), so it runs without needing the cookie banner.
- Cookies. We use a single cookie (stored in your browser) to remember your choice on the cookie banner. See "Cookies" below.
Cookies
A cookie is a small piece of text saved in your browser. Today we use one cookie only: to remember whether you accepted or declined the cookie banner, so we don't ask again.
We use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used (for example which stories are popular). Google Analytics sets cookies and processes data such as a shortened (anonymized) IP address; we have disabled advertising features and ad personalization for it. These analytics cookies are only loaded after you accept on the banner — if you decline, no Google Analytics script or cookie is loaded.
We may also use cookies for advertising in the future (for example Google AdSense or Google AdMob); those too would only load after you accept. You can clear cookies at any time in your browser settings. Learn more about how Google uses data at Google's data page.
Advertising (in the future)
If we show ads, ad partners such as Google may use cookies or similar technologies to show and measure ads. Where required, ads will be limited to non-personalized advertising appropriate for a general or child-directed audience. You can learn more and manage choices at Google's advertising page and aboutads.info.
Children's privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it. Where the law requires it, we will treat the site as child-directed and limit data collection and advertising accordingly.
Third-party links
Our articles link to other websites (such as Wikipedia, NASA, or news sources) so you can learn more. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. Please read their policies.
Your choices and rights
You can decline cookies on the banner, clear cookies in your browser, or contact us with questions or requests about your information. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access or delete personal data.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows when it last changed.
